Just A Thought

So close to me, so far away.
The way I live my life is
Day to day and sometimes
I think and sometimes
I dream.
A picture of you is all I see.
The place in my heart beats ten times as fast
Everytime you pass.
My nights are cold and lonely and meek.
You are my strength.
Without you I am weak.
I work so hard day in and day out.
The distance you are can't be reached
Without a shout.
It seems so right but the distance is so great.
It is almost hard to believe
That maybe it could be fate.
The day will come,
When our lives will meet.
Fate says it's far away,
But I'd like to cheat the system
Is wrong for keeping us apart.
How do I know?
Because I follow my heart.
My heart is honest and cannot lie.
All I know is
Without you I would die.
Tomorrow is another day,
And it will pass.
But when we are together
It will be heaven at last.
Soon I hope we will be together.
Once that day will come
It will last forever.
