Never Had the Chance
By Teresa T.

To Uncle Louie

You died before I met you.
I never had the chance to say,
"I love you."
As you're watching from above,
I ask you give me one more memory.
The first and last.
Why did you have to go so fast?

I never had the chance to tell you.
You'll walk again.
Was it a punishment for my sin?
Come back. Let me hear your voice and see your face.
The sin I did never got a case.
I'm living in fear.
Send a tear to let me know that,
At my side, you are near.

I'm sorry I never had the chance.
All I can do is wait.
Could it be fate?
I finally had the chance.
I love you!
You'll walk again.
This was my first and last.
