Circle of Giving
Morning Star Rising provides a comprehensive array of direct
services to adolescent girls. The cost of this program is
met from foundation and corporate grants, as well as community
support.
Support from the local community is very important, since
Morning Star Rising teaches the girls to become social contributors
themselves through exposure to volunteer opportunities and
community service projects and by serving as Big Sisters to
the girls who follow them in the program. It is invaluable
for them to know that this Circle of Giving includes them
as both recipients and contributors.
There are a number of ways in which you can support the Morning
Star Rising program. You may make a monetary contribution,
donate an in-kind good or service, or, if you live in the
local Austin area, you may volunteer to mentor a young girl
in the program. You may also decide to work to bring this
program to your area.
